How does the bulk import of risk factors work?

Now in Pirani you can easily import customers and counterparties in bulk, and associate them with related products and transactions.

With bulk import you will be able to create hundreds of customers, counterparties, products and transactions in a single upload, plus you will be able to relate and update existing entities and records.

How to import risk factors in bulk??

To bulk import the risk factors you must go to the top bar and click on the gear figure, then go to the left side of the section and click on "AML". Finally on the right side you will find the option "Import".

In this section you will find the bulk import of the system entities, go to the "customers" or "counterparties" section at the end of the system entities bar.

What conditions must my file have?

To bulk upload the customers and counterparties you must take into account the following elements that the tool indicates when you enter the section.
Remember that these elements are mandatory for the file upload with the event records to be effective.

  1. If you are going to load fields other than the current ones, we recommend that you first create them in the system. It is important that you know which fields you have selected for customers and counterparties. If the document to be uploaded has more than the fields created you can add them in the fields section, here we show you how to create them.
  2. The file must be flat, without graphics, figures or images. Remember that the tool only reads data
  3. The minimum number of columns in the file must be equal or greater than the number of required fields. It is important that you take into account which are the optional and mandatory fields, since the file you upload must contain all the mandatory fields or you will be able to go to the fields module to edit them.
  4. There cannot be column names in the file with the same name.  
  5. The format of the files must be .csv (UTF-8), with column separator ";" (semicolon) remember not to use this character in the information texts.
  6. File headers should start in the first row. Avoid leaving the first row empty, remember that the data must start from there. 
  7. In the base file you must have the column(s) called "identificationType", "identificationNumber", which will allow you to make the associations between entities, that is why it is necessary that you enumerate them since this will allow you to generate future associations. 
  8. The date and time format must be yyyy-mm-ddThh:mm:ss, and both date and time must be imported in a single column. Remember to include the T between the date and time.

How to perform bulk import?

You can bulk import customers, counterparties, their products and transactions, and you can also associate them to existing customers and products in the tool. To perform the bulk import you must be located within the "import" section in the "customers" or "counterparties" section, here you can load a base file that has the characteristics mentioned above or use existing records in the system to associate with new records.

⚠️  Remember! If the file does not meet the above conditions the software will show you a red message below the bulk upload box, indicating what the problem to fix is.

To load products you can also do it from existing records in the system to associate with new records or from a base file taking into account the characteristics mentioned above and including the column "productNumber" to effectively make the associations.

To load the transactions you must do it from a base file that includes the above mentioned characteristics and include the column "transactionCode" to effectively make the associations.

Important, if the file you upload contains the code or identification of a customer, counterpart or product that already exists, the tool will update the data of this customer in the new file. Because of this, it is not possible to have more than one customer or product with the same ID.

How to find the products and transactions loaded?

Finally, the transactions and products associated with a customer or counterparty can be downloaded by entering the customers and counterparties module, there you must identify the customer or counterparty of interest and click on it, a box will open on the right side in which you will find a down arrow (download icon), click on it and it will automatically download an excel file with all records associated with that customer or counterparty.

✨ This file can be used as evidence or additional information of a suspicious operation.
