What would happen if a core business process is interrupted? Undoubtedly, this would have serious consequences for the organization and could affect its continuity.
Therefore, it is necessary to make a business impact assessment to evaluate each one.
Now you can find within the "Processes" module the "Criticality Assessment" section where you can make this qualification. Remember that it is available in the Pro plan.
How to perform the criticality assessment?
To make the assessment, you will have to qualify two concepts: "Maximum tolerable interruption time" and "Qualification for critical activities".
How to create a maximum tolerable downtime?
Here you will determine how much downtime a process can have. To do this, click on the section of the same name and determine the range of time that the interruption can be supported, you can also put a description justifying the established time.
How to create the qualification for critical activities?
To add those activities that are considered critical within the process, click on the "Qualification of critical activities" section and go to the "Add" button.
Here you will see a form where you must add the name of that task and rate the level of criticality according to the time range of each variable. At the end you will see a total score for each variable, click on "Add" to register it and that's it!
How to parameterize the process rating?
Go to the Parameterization module on the upper right side of the tool and click on the "Process qualification" section, here you can modify the criticality levels, the continuity variables and the time ranges.
Criticality levels
To edit it click on the "Edit levels" button, here you can change the name, weight and color. You can also delete those levels that you do not consider necessary with the trash can icon and create new levels with the "Create levels" button (you can have a maximum of 10 levels).
Once you have parameterized this tab click on "Save".
Continuity variables
Click on "Edit variables" to parameterize this section, you will get a form where you can modify the variable information such as: name, weight percentage and description of each qualification option.
As with the criticality levels, you will be able to delete any variable by clicking on the trash can icon.
Don't forget that once you have parameterized this tab you must click "Save".
Time ranges
Click on the "Edit range" button, here you can modify the "From" and "To" when that range will be set, the unit of measure (minutes, hours or days) and the criticality level. To delete any range click on the trash can icon.
Click "Save" when you are done making all the changes and that's it ;)
